ABOUT OUR COMPANY

Safier Mediation Center provides a neutral, third-party mediator to assist litigants in resolving their disputes.  Our cases come from court-ordered and/or private mediations.  We use a non-adversarial approach to help resolve disputes.  In performing this function we assist the parties in negotiating the outcome so that both of them are satisfied with the resolution.

About Our Owner and Professional Mediator

I. Jay SafierSafier Mediation Center is owned and operated by I. Jay Safier, CPA, CGMA, CFF, and a R.1:40 qualified mediator on the New Jersey Superior Court’s Roster of Mediators for Civil, General Equity and Probate Cases. He is also a member of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators. Mr. Safier has over 50 years of professional experience providing accounting, auditing, tax, estate & business consulting services to a diverse group of closely-held businesses, high-net-worth individuals and nonprofit organizations.

He has been involved in matters covering the representation of clients before taxing authorities, shareholder disputes, and forensic investigations. He has also been called upon as an expert witness. In his practice, he has been involved in assisting clients resolve internal business disputes arising from different interpretations of contracts.

In addition to being a licensed CPA, Mr. Safier holds the designations of Chartered Global Management Accountants (CGMA) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and is a retired Fellow of the American Board of Forensic Accounting for the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute (FABFA).

He is a former adjunct instructor of Accounting at Pace University in Westchester, New York. He is also a former member of the New Jersey chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey, where he was a trustee of PENPAC, the political action arm of Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey.
